Ubeyd'in siyasi duruşları ve Abbasiler döneminde Mutezile'nin siyasi etkinliğinden yola çıkılarak ortaya konulmaktadır. Mutezile'nin siyasi tavrını doğru anlamlandırabilmek için imamet nazariyelerinin iyi kavranması gerekir. Bu çerçevede Mutezile, fadıl imam ve mefdul imam kavramlarını geliştirmiştir. İlk Mu’tezile’nin sosyal ve siyasal adalet konusunda hassas oldukları, Harun Reşit zamanında ise bu tavrın adil olan her yönetimi meşru kabul etme kanaatine doğru evrildiği görülmüştür. | ||
