| Résumé: | Müslümanlar ilk dönemlerden itibaren dini ilimlerle, özellikle Emeviler döneminde bunun yanında beşeri ilimlerle de ilgilenmişlerdir. Emeviler döneminin bu anlamdaki en önemli meşguliyeti tercüme faaliyetleridir. İslam medeniyetinin doğuşunda önemli bir etkisi olan tercüme faaliyetlerinin ilk hedefi, tıp ve müspet ilimler olmuştur. Makalede, Emeviler döneminde gerçekleştirilmeye çalışılan bu tercüme faaliyetleri hakkında bilgi verilmekte, tıp ve müspet bilimlerde bu dönemdeki gelişimler örneklendirilmektedir. Emevi döneminin bu noktadaki önemi vurgulanmaktadır. From the earliest times Muslims have been interested in religious sciences, as well as social sciences especially the Umayyads’ periods. The most important occupation of the Umayyad period in this sense is the translation activities. The first goal of translation activities, an important influence of the birth of Islamic civilization, has been medicine and positive sciences. In this article, information is given about the translation activities that are being carried out during the Umayyad period and the developments in this period are exemplified in medicine and positive sciences. The importance of Umayyad period in this point is emphasized. |
