| Zusammenfassung: | Este artigo discute as relações entre a religião, ética e democracia. Procura-se identificar as metamorfoses que elas experimentam no mundo atual e o modo como tais processos alteram os fundamentos da democracia. Avaliar esse contexto requer compreender que tais metamorfoses modificam o pensável habitual acerca do religioso, do politico e da moral. Elas modificam, por exemplo, o lugar do discurso religioso na sociedade, o estatuto do divino, do crer e as condições de conduta neste mundo, indicando que a religião, possivelmente, encontrou um lugar razoável e operacional nas novas fundações da democracia. Por sua vez, o fim das “religiões seculares” assinala o esgotamento da moderna aliança entre o secular autônomo e remanescentes da heteronomia religiosa, abrindo espaço para a reabilitação pública da ética que atualmente, porém, resulta de e dá forma a uma individualização radical dos horizontes essenciais organizadores da vida dos indivíduos e dos coletivos. This article discusses the relations between religion, ethics and democracy. Its aim is to identify their actual metamorphoses, as well as the way how they are changing the core substance of democracy. To do so, it must be consider that such metamorphoses alter also what was usually thinkable about religion, politics and ethics. This event changes, for example, the religious discourse’s place in society, the concept of divine, the religious belief’s conditions and the rule of conduct in the world. This means that religion has possibly found a reasonable and functional place in the new foundations of democracy. In its turn, the end of “secular religions” indicates the exhaustion of the modern and artificial alliance between the autonomous secularity and remainings of traditional religious heteronomy. This scenario opens a door to the public reinstatement of ethics which nowadays, however, results from and shapes a radical individualization of the essentials horizons which organize the individual and collective life. |
