Description
Summary:The religion of Israel has provided human societies with three main ideas: firstly, the idea of existence as history; secondly, the eschatological conscience with one’s goal in view, and, finally, the idea of messianism as future salvation. These beliefs have had a strong influence on Israel’s history, in the first place, and on the history of Christianity, in the second place. They are found at the base of all utopist movements; both of religious and laic characters, wich can be traced in all western countries. Such movements have also been of a different character: from Christian experiences to social and political revolutions, all influenced by millenarism.
