Otexto prossegue examinando a evolução histórica do conceito e trata damudança ocorrida na cosmovisão cristã, a partir do século II, com a in-fluência helenística no pensamento cristão. Desse ponto em diante, pro-cura esclarecer a posição de Agostinho sobre a graça. O autor passa, então,a discorrer sobre as teses pelagianas, entendendo que a compreensão dapolêmica entre as posições pelagianas e agostinianas sobre graça e livrearbítrio são necessárias para a continuidade do texto. O texto segue tra-tando da Reforma e da recuperação da doutrina da graça, a tradição agos-tiniana, por meio do exame da construção das posições de Lutero. Di-ferentemente de Lutero, Calvino enfatiza a Igreja visível que anuncia aPalavra de Deus e a quem são administrados os dois sacramentos instituí-dos por Cristo. Seguindo Agostinho de perto, distingue a Igreja visível dainvisível. O autor afirma que o ponto de arranque do protestantismo acer-ca da doutrina da graça é a sola Scripturae estabelece que, tanto pela in-fluência de Lutero como pela de Calvino, os reformados retornam ao pa-trimônio bíblico e agostiniano em relação à graça divina 
520 |a The author establishes at first, in the limits of the text, a conceptual syn-thesis on patristic, situating St. Augustine’s writings in Christian and Re-formed Christian literature, and Grace’s doctrine for this philosopher.The text proceeds to examine historical evolution of the concept, dealingwith the change in Christian cosmovision by the second century due tothe Hellenic influence on Christian thought. From this point on, thetexts endeavors to enlighten Augustine’s position on Grace. The authordiscourses on the Pelagian theses, for according to his point of view un-derstanding the polemic between the Pelagian and Augustinian positionson Grace and free will are necessary for the comprehension of the text asa whole. The text proceeds to speak about Reformation and the recupe-ration of Grace Doctrine, Augustinian’s tradition, examining the cons-truction of Luther’s position. Differing from Luther, Calvin emphasizesthe visible church, which announces the Word of God and where the twosacraments instituted by Christ are administered; following close to Au-gustine, Calvin distinguishes the visible and the invisible Churches. Theauthor states that the beginning of Protestantism Doctrine about theGrace’s is the sola Scriptura, and also he establishes that through Luther’sinfluence, as well as through Calvin, the Reformed church return to Bi-blical and Augustine’s patrimony related to Divine Grace.
