The reader is invited to enter one parent's journey through grief toward acceptance of her son's handicapping condition. Part of this process involves letting go of the world's vision of perfection; letting go of the myth of self-sufficiency; opening oneself to the upside-down truth Jesus offers: it is through embracing our brokenness that we unleash the power of the Holy Spirit to work within, making us spiritually whole. |
