Completed in 2010, with a sample of 18 interviewees, the findings and discussion are explored within four categories: (a) understandings, perception and experiences of inclusion, (b) obstacles and suggested strategies to increase participation, (c) people's interpretations of their disability and the teachings/beliefs of their religion/faith community, and (d) role of leadership to encourage positive change.
