Description
Résumé:The beginnings of the mekteb in Slovenia date back to the second half of the 20th cen-tury, while a visible development occurred with the establishment of the Islamic Community in the Republic of Slovenia (1994) and the arrival of imams. Today, it is implemented in all seventeen committees of Islamic communities, as well as in other Islamic communities and societies in Slovenia. This paper presents the differences in the implementation of mekteb lessons within the committees of the Islamic Community and alternative Muslim organiza-tions in Slovenia, with special emphasis on the use of the language and division into groups.
