Résumé:The article intends to identify reasons for decline of merit-based admissions at Harvard University like most of other universities of the U.S. Topics discussed include study conducted to observe working and succession pattern during 1969 and 2019, definitive ruling from the U.S. Supreme Court on the appeal of the Asian student lawsuit and impact of growing financial dependence and contradictory professorial and departmental policies regarding academic freedom on universities.
