However, little research has been conducted on children’s perceptions of religion and religious concepts. This research explores perceptions of Heaven as a core concept in Islamic faith among 202 first-grade Muslim children, within the social context of Kuwait as a Muslim-majority country. In accordance with the perspectives of social learning theorists on child cognitive development, the findings of this research offer a further example of how social surroundings can inform the cognitive development of children in relation to religious concepts. | ||
