Results showed that Chinese working parents who self-identified as Christians experienced a higher level of stress from work interfering family, had a greater use of positive religious coping and reported a higher level of depression, anxiety and stress symptom scores, than those who are not. Multiple regression analyses further showed that a Christian identity significantly brought additional contribution to the overall work-family conflict experience beyond various sources of family stress and having a working spouse. Use of religious coping methods also significantly predicted psychological maladjustment beyond the work-family conflict experience.
