Description
Résumé:The purpose of the volume Religion og ungdom [Religion and Youth] is to illuminate the role of religion for young people. Editor Ida Marie Høeg argues that a processual perspective on young people puts a spotlight on how religion is explored and challenged by youth, which also illuminates how the contours of religions and traditions in fact are changed due to young people’s engagement (2017, 9). It is therefore argued that the volume points to the role of religion for Norwegian society on a more general note. Religion and youth is studied in a broad sense, as it also includes the experience, use and resistance of religion amongst those characterized by distance from religious contexts. In other words, “religion” is studied from the perspective of young people.
