Résumé:In this article, the author discusses his experience of coming out as gay and challenges faced by LGBTQ Americans. It mentions fact that "conversion" therapy is still an actual thing that happens and scientific basis for changing one's sexual orientation. It also mentions there is no federal law that prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity and U.S. Supreme Court's decision in the case Obergefell v. Hodges on marriage equality.
