Zusammenfassung: | The Religious Association Scale (RAS) was administered to students enrolled in an introductory psychology course (N = 121). RAS was found to correlate positively with all four single-item measures of religiousness. It also correlated positively with scholastic aptitude. A factor analysis of the intercorrelations showed that RAS loads on both a religious criterion factor and the aptitude factor. These results suggest that RAS should be modified in an attempt to suppress its relationship with intelligence. |
