LOK |0 938   |l Abstract: Pourquoi la pensee de René Girard, tout en donnant lieu a beaucoup de contestation de la part des disciplines qu'elle met en cause, parait-elle si feconde? cette pensee, par le statut d'illustration qu'elle donne au materiel ethnologique, releve moins d'une discipline scientifique au sens strict que d'une religiologie: elle est production d'un objet (l'origine de la societe) dans la quete d'un sens qu'elle assume. Le mecanisme victimaire, dont l'historicite reste indemontrable, represente une quasi-theorie du langage: il rend compte de la production d'un arbitraire (croyable) a tour duquel il devient possible de faire groupe. Une telle theorie, pour etre vraisemblable, a-t-elle veritablement besoin du concept de victime? son enjeu n'est-il pas plutot la production du croyable, dont la violence victimaire est une des possibilites? eriger la victime en reel de l'origine n'est-il pas, encore une fois, produire un mythe?
