Résumé:The author, H. Altay, a Kazakh from the Altai regions of the USSR, left his homeland in 1932. In August 1990, he visited Mongolia. In this article he gives his impressions of Mongolia, describes the economic and political situation in this country in general and of the Kazakh minority of Mongolia in particular (especially in Bayan Olgey province). Altay takes a brief look at the religious position of Kazakhs in Mongolia and the Buddhists of this country. (DÜI-Sen)
