Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:The author takes a critical look at the Supreme Court of India's (SCI's) judgement and observations in M. Joshi's and R. Y. Prabhoo's cases about Hindutvu. The author believes that the SCI's judgment on M. Joshi's case is an instance of a widespread confusion in the discourse on secularism, pluralism and humanism. He observes that in matters concerning electoral law and appeal to religion also the SCI has had a varied record since 1964. (DÜI-Sen)
