Description
Résumé:Paul's response to syncretism in the first-century Roman Empire may guide us in our attempts to respond to syncretism today. Paul identifies with people of various cultures and religions in order to share the gospel. Rather than insisting on instantaneous change, he patiently deals with issues of the Jewish law on one hand and Gentile idolatry on the other. Paul is guided by the principle of accommodation as he encourages people to turn from their former ways of life in order to follow Christ.
