| Résumé: | This article examines the challenges faced by those with physical impairments and disabilities in engaging in ordained or full-time ministry. It discusses the fears and issues perceived and felt to the author's identity as he attempts to discern what is "enough" in a person called to ministry in terms of functionality and productivity. The article seeks to suggest that identity is given by God, rather than other societal elements or forces. Finally, it suggests that the Church of Christ benefits exponentially from receiving ministry from those who are impaired and disabled and, as a result, expectations of ministers, lay and ordained, may need to be refined. |
