Borg (March 11, 1942-January 21, 2015) will be profoundly missed by people from many walks. He was a renowned scholar and master teacher; an exceptionally clear public speaker, lecturer, and prolific writer; and most of all a passionate and compassionate human being. For over thirty years, he made important contributions to historical Jesus studies, the study of the Bible, and theology.
