Résumé:The article focuses on perspectives of theologians Reinhold Niebuhr, Valerie Saiving and Søren Kierkegaard on sin of selflessness. Topics discussed include theological debate between Niebuhr and Saiving being illuminated by balanced position of Kierkegaard on selfhood, love and sin, alternative view of sin as selflessness being redeemed through self-love according to Kierkegaard and essentiality of self-love and authentic selfhood for Christianity being discussed in Kierkegaard's writings.
