678 | |b Louise Cilliers graduated with an M.A. (cum laude) at the University of Pretoria, and thereafter obtained a Dra. Litt. et Phil. (cum laude) at the University of Leiden in The Netherlands, and in 1984 a D.Litt. et Phil. at the Rand Afrikaans University. After lecturing at the University of Natal, UNISA and RAU, she joined the UFS and in 1985 became Professor and Head of the Department of Latin; in 1998 this department merged with the English department, and became the Dept. of English and Classical Culture. In 2004 the Dept. of Greek also became part of this department, which is now known as the Dept. of English and Classical Languages. | ||
